I went out earlier this afternoon looking to find rain drops dripping off of leaves that were still attached to trees.  I didn’t find that, but I did located this simple study in browns.

As I was photographing variations on this theme in this big pile of leaves I noticed what was to me a curious thing.   Water droplets like these only form on what was originally the underside of the leaf.  What had been the top sides of leaves were damp but had no droplets.  Curious…and interesting.
