I do like to shoot doors in the Historic District and it seems that a large portion of my audience appreciates them as much as I do.  But lately I have been admiring a subset of the door genre, that of transoms and lights above doors as shown here.

When I was walking up West 2nd this evening I was initially attracted to the golden glow of light coming through the glass above this door.  But after a few shots I was impressed by how all of the colors in the scene worked together.  And I really like the glossy finish of the black and burgundy used for the door and it’s trim.  For me, it all works well together.
