There were many Halloween costumes to be seen today while driving through the Historic District.  And even more if you took the time to look into the shop and office windows.

The one that made me stop and take a photo, though, was Amariah in her fox costume.  She was taking a break from classes next door.  I think I have a thing for people in doorways, the doorway kinda’ acts like a frame.  (Find some of my dancer photos if you need more convincing on that point.)

And this is one massive doorway with hard strong lines, almost monochrome in color.  But then there is Amariah relaxing against her book bag adding that soft, human touch.  The bright splash of color works perfectly with the greys and browns of the larger scene.  And the costume tail and her sneakers just complete the photo for me.
