These buildings are in the heart of the Historic District, although they certainly don’t look like they belong there.  But even here history is all around us.  Just to the right of my camera position is the John Hanson house and I remember that there was a significant controversy about how it should be preserved when the new court house was being built.

For the photo geeks:  I really like how the thin clouds smeared in this 30 second exposure.  And I really lucked out with the way they frame the top and right hand side of the scene.  Sometimes things just work out right…

  1. Nice… it always amazes me how fast the earth revolves in reference to the stars in just 30 seconds!
