This photo falls into two of the categories that run through many of my blog posts.  The first of those categories is “I had my daily picture all wrapped up and was walking back to the car and found this.”  The second is “You can’t see this by driving around town because this is the side of the building that can’t be seen from the adjacent one way street.”

I was lucky enough to be in the area when the tree was being raked by light from almost 90° camera left.  And I was doubly lucky that there was a set of glorious Italianate windows and contrasting wall in just the right place to provide the needed background.

Sometimes things just work out…

  2. I viewed and enjoyed that tree from the other side of those windows on the 2nd floor for about 7 years. It’s beautiful from that side, too.
