There were a couple of water pipe breaks in the Historic District today.  I originally shot these DPW guys kinda’ wide and straight on.  I was pretty sure I could make something out of it when I got back to the office.  As I was turning to leave, however, I found this reflection and was positive I had something good right out of the camera.

It was 24° with light snow flurries when I took this picture and the guys were just cracking open the road surface.  I’m sure they had a good bit of cold, wet work in front of them.  I know the work the DPW guys do is often unseen, and maybe it is an annoyance when they block a lane of Market Street like they had to here.  But these men and women really do keep our town functioning and I can’t thank them enough.
