When I first drove my this scene I was struck by the two rectangles inscribed in the concrete stoop.  So I drove around the block, parked, and pulled out the camera.

I shot those two rectangles.  The I pulled back a bit to include the white door with the green branches above.  Then I pulled back a bit more to include the topmost of those nicely lit steps.  Then a bit more to include the one window above and the lower steps below.  Then I just had to include the other two matching windows and tree trunk.  And that is how I got from two etched rectangles to this larger facade.

I really like how the glancing light really emphasizes the bricks  in this building.
