I have always liked the general appearance of this building, its shape and proportions, the color of its bricks and the wrought iron fire escapes.  We had a bit of sun this morning before the clouds rolled in and those fire escapes and the shadows they cast caught my eye.

I cropped this photo a whole bunch of different ways before choosing the version shown here that includes the green awning.  And more importantly the shadows on that green awning.  Did I choose well?

  1. Yes you did (choose well). I like the keystone but this picture tends to make my eyes hurt for some reason !! I think there are too many things to try to focus on at the same time. 🙂

  2. A very Escher-like image. Sets of parallel lines going in so many directions!
