As a kid I walked through the door shown above many, many times.  This is the entrance to what use to be the children’s room of the old C. Burr Artz Library.  The adult section was upstairs and there was no interior connection between the two sections.  To get from the adult section of the library to the children’s room or vice versa you had to go outside.

  1. Walked in there many times too! One day I walked in and ended up with a job–and haven’t left since.

  2. I can’t believe the new buyers chopped down the beautiful hedges of the former sculpture garden! So disappointed!

  3. Great shot! There was a connection between the floors, but only used by staff. It has been closed in recent years to assure privacy between the floors.
