I had noticed this door on drive-bys several times in the last few weeks and really liked the way the ivy was growing up it and the adjacent wall.  Today I decided to stop and make a photo.

All of those times driving by I had envisioned a nice square and plumb architectural shot showing the straight lines of the door being overtaken by the randomness of nature.  And that is how I started to work it.  And it was OK, but just OK.  However when I got down to sidewalk level and shot up I know all of those previous frames were just the warm-up act for this version of the scene.
