This photo kinda’ embodies why I love this town.  A beautiful Christmas tree is framed by the silhouette of out historic city hall while a carriage full of happy citizens enjoys the crisp December air.  Does it get any better than this?

For the photo geeks:  I made exactly two exposures this evening, one each of two different carriages.  The first was a beautiful white coach pulled by Belle and Mike, the two black horses I posted last Sunday (see that photo here) and the second is this photo.  I really like the white coach in the other photo but Belle and Mike just melted into the shadows behind them.  These two tawny mules, their stablemates, stood out much better against the darkness, and that is how this photo became the select for tonight’s posting.

  1. Perfect! the Lambert family who own the horses/mules wagons/carriages are wonderful people also. Bill, you have taken some awesome pics this past week. Always inspiring!
