I made yesterday’s photo of the Christmas tree at Market and 7th at about 8:00PM last night.  There was bit of moisture in the air from the rain we had endured earlier in the evening but the shot was still clear even though there were a couple of city blocks between me and my subject.

The I walked the dog at about 10:00PM last night and noticed a heavy fog rolling in over my end of town.  I like shooting in fog (have I mentioned that lately?) so I sat up with Lamb Chop and mellowed a bit after the Christmas crazies, then went out around midnight to grab this shot just a few minutes into the new day (today).

I finished shooting, came home, walked Kodak again and went to bed.  When I woke up around 3:30 AM this morning I took a look out the window and the fog was gone.  I am really glad I stayed up late to catch this shot rather than getting up early this morning expecting the fog to last overnight!

The weather is a constant source of wonder in my life…

  1. I am loving your weather images! Isn’t there an old saying the time and the weather wait for no photographer?

  2. As with many of your photos, this one is truly remarkable!
