The (very) old log cabin on East 5th is finally coming down.  And from what I observed this afternoon it really is a marvel that it was still standing at all.

The cedar shakes in the foreground of this photo were the original roof on this home.  They were covered by old asphalt shingles which were covered by the plywood seen in the lower left hand corner which was covered by a metal roof.

  1. Foes anyone know if they will be reassembling the house at another location?

  2. I doubt there as enough usable material to assemble even a smaller version of the cabin. It was left too long.
