The storm we experienced over the weekend was a classic nor’easter.  Due to the wind direction of the blizzard, snow drifts and cornices ended up on the south side of buildings as shown here.  And this is far from the only example of this throughout the Historic District.  So as you are walking about town, and many of us are still walking, be sure to glance up.

  1. It was indeed risky; we had a drift overhanging the front of the house by 3 or 4 feet; I had to knock it down before it fell on someone. And did you see the house in the 100 block of South St, with icicles dangling from the roof all the way to the first floor windows?
