When a severe rain storm is approaching I often head to one of the city parking decks for a photo or two. If you position yourself one notch below the open roof level you can, if you are lucky, get a nice shot of the storm approaching the city skyline and still be protected from the rain as the storm overtakes your location.
And that is exactly what I did today as the afternoon storm approached. But today the parking deck itself became part of the photo as the heavy rain cascaded through the open spaces creating torrents and waterfalls between levels. So, not a classic rainstorm photo, but still indicative of what was taking place all around me. And still I remained dry.
