Today’s post is an intersection of two personal projects: (1) my daily post of a photo taken within the Historic District and (2) my less frequent post of dancers photographed outside of their normal studio environment.
The great bulk of my daily posts are taken outside but when I first saw this room I knew that it had to be photographed and I was pretty sure that a dancer would add to the scene.
For the photo geeks: This is a four light set-up. There is one light behind each wing of the stage, a bare bulb flash high over my right shoulder providing general illumination to the front of the stage and then a direct flash aimed at the dancer from my left to make her pop.
