I have photographed Haydn and Uzi before but love their story so much that I smile every time I see them out walking in the Historic District and today I felt compelled to take their picture again.

Hayden and Uzi had always enjoyed their time together outside, but for a while now Uzi has found it difficult to walk as he ages.  Hayden found a solution for his friend and makes sure that Uzi still gets out of the house regularly.

When I first noticed them today on Market near Church Uzi was walking but very slowly.  Hayden bent over, picked up his friend and placed him in the wagon and they continued on.  I know that dogs don’t really smile but I think that the look on Uzi’s face shows that he really appreciates Hayden’s effort.

Just in case you may be wondering, the dog is not named after the gun.  I will leave the internet search to each of you.
