If you have been a regular on North Market over the last month or so you have seen a lot of work going on on this building at  the corner of West 3rd.

For the photo geeks:  I made 32 exposures of this scene and the three finalists all depended on that beautiful lighting of the worker at the far left of the scene.  The way he is illuminated against the inky blackness of the building interior just makes the photo for me.

  1. The old ‘header’ beams above the windows are cool too….

  2. The white face mask is interesting as well…

  3. PS he looks more like a surgeon than a carpenter!

  4. It is wonderful to see the progress along Market St. to ‘redo’ some of the buildings. Hopefully, this will continue along this vibrant street and vacant sites will all soon be alive and bustling with activity once again.

  5. Thank you for both (a) a wonderful image and (b) documenting the progress of this renovation. I hope the plans to make this location into a cafe and B&B can survive the long work schedule.
