I love the shadows in this photo, mostly because if there are strong shadows like this that means the sun is out and that means no rain!  Yeah!

Years ago I was stalking the last pay phone in the Historic District hoping to get a photo of someone using it.  I never did get the photo I wanted and now that last pay phone is gone, probably a victim of the ubiquity of the cell phone.  I kinda’ feel the same way about the corner mail box.  How long do you think these blue beauties will be able to hold out against advancing technology?

  1. Point! Here in Paris, Tennessee, the city or post office (somebody) keeps moving the ones on the town square, for 1st a walking park and 2nd time, don’t know why…but it turns into a search game…’where’s the blue mailbox’? when you just want to drop in a letter. LOVE YOUR WORK
