When you see fire trucks screaming the wrong way down West 4th it is not a good idea to follow them, but it might be a good idea to legally get yourself into a position to see what is going on.

I don’t know for sure what the issue was, but most of the activity seemed directed at the laundromat on West 4th.  And although things may appear calm in this photo the firemen at the laundromat door are holding onto a fully charged hose and are ready to go.  There are also a couple more ladders up against the wall of the laundromat out of the picture to the left of this view.

All in all, I counted about ten pieces of heavy equipment responding to this alarm in the Historic District.
