By virtue of being on the south side of South Street rather than the north side, the town homes in the foreground of this photo are just barely outside of the Historic District but the blue recycle cans worked with the blue sky for me so well that I stopped to make this photo anyway. The water tower and the four story red brick home at the top of the hill are indeed in the Historic District so I can, at least in my mind, justify using this photo as part of my daily photo project.
One set of the gray homes near the top of the hill has a stone dating them to 1871.
